from vine, to bottle, to you
Soil
Diverse soils characterised primarily by Vilafonte and Klapmuts.
Climate
The Mediterranean climate of Klapmuts allows for warm, temperate summers and cold, wet winters. The growing season is characterised by warm, sunny days and constant cooling southerly sea breezes ensures optimal ripening with long 'hang time'.
Tasting Notes
The flavours follow the nose with sweet spice at the edge where vanilla leads the way. It all comes together with long, smooth, ripe fruited finish.
Vinification
Grapes are hand-harvested at optimal ripeness and carefully sorted upon arrival at the cellar. Thereafter, the grapes are destemmed and crushed and the resultant is fermented in stainless steel tanks for up to 21 days. Thereafter the wine is matured in French Oak barrels for 18 months, and after careful blending is lightly fined and filtered before bottling.
When to drink
This wine offers immediate drinking pleasure, but will reward with careful cellaring.

We place great value on family, after all, wine is about bringing families together

I believe great wines are made in the vineyard, so I spend as much time in the vineyard as possible
